Nuevo Ritmo represents a certain aesthetic, ethical and political thirst. A reconciliation with the act of understanding, imagining and navigating existence. In parallel, a confrontation of the collective feeling of being stuck in old models that constrain technical and empathetic social development.

With an interest in balancing poetics, rhythmical experimentation and critical thought, Nuevo Ritmo serves MANS O as thought space-generating practice that has been triggered from the beginning of the pandemic. This timid but honest call to new paradigms and new intentions opens sonically to a 18 track album that embraces the different methodologies of the producer, illustrating a diverse and contrasted narrative that doesn’t fit in any category but maintains his polyrhythmic watermark

With the release of the album comes a visual piece in short film format directed by César Pesquera and Kinki Factory, written by the artist. In this piece we can see parts of the three first tracks incarnated by MANS O where he re-focuses his particular audio reactive movement.

MANS O (Roman Daniel, Barcelona) are hands moving with their central axis on rhythmic and sound experimentation through the production of electronic music, his practice extends to design, dance and creative reflection.

Since the project debuted around Sónar 2015 with its first solo EP, Roman has continued to explore his practice and sound to this day, flooded with intuition and improvisation and contained with a high sense of emotional precision.
